I recently had the opportunity to photograph Fiona and her beautiful family during their stay at Peninsula Beach Resort in Tanjung Benoa, Bali. From the very beginning, the session felt relaxed, joyful, and full of genuine family connection. Moments like these are always special to capture because they are not only about taking photos, but also about preserving memories from a meaningful family holiday together.
Peninsula Beach Resort is one of those hidden gems in Tanjung Benoa that offers a peaceful tropical atmosphere away from the busy crowds. Surrounded by lush gardens, lotus ponds, and direct access to the beach, the resort creates the perfect setting for a family photography session. Everywhere you walk, there are little corners filled with greenery, traditional Balinese charm, and soft natural light that make every photograph feel warm and timeless.
We started the session around the resort gardens where Fiona’s family enjoyed quiet moments together among the tropical plants and lotus ponds around the beach. The greenery created a calm and intimate atmosphere, especially during the sweet moments between father and son. These natural interactions are often the most meaningful part of a family photoshoot because they reflect genuine love and connection without needing too much posing.
As we moved toward the beach area, the mood became more playful and energetic. The children laughed, explored the sand, and enjoyed the seaside atmosphere while their parents simply enjoyed being present with them. One of my favorite moments was seeing the father gently pushing his daughter on the beach swing under the large tree while dark dramatic clouds slowly formed in the distance. It felt cinematic, emotional, and beautifully real at the same time.
The beachfront at Peninsula Beach Resort is also perfect for family photography because it offers soft sand, calm ocean views, and peaceful surroundings. Unlike many crowded beaches in Bali, Tanjung Benoa has a more relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, making it easier for children to feel comfortable and enjoy the experience naturally. This always helps create authentic photographs filled with personality and emotion.
What I loved most about this session was how naturally Fiona’s family connected with each other. There was no need to force smiles or overly pose every moment. The laughter, conversations, and little interactions between siblings and parents told the story beautifully on their own. Those are the memories that become truly valuable years later.
It was truly a pleasure meeting Fiona and her lovely family during their Bali holiday. I hope these photographs will always remind them of the beautiful time they shared together in Tanjung Benoa, surrounded by tropical gardens, ocean breeze, and unforgettable family moments.
